Day 1 of No Sugar Diet

I am attempting to do a diet that requires me to cut down on or completely remove artificial sugar. So far it has been a challenge because every minute I kept thinking about food. I even got a headache from craving and general hunger.

This is a huge challenge for me because I absolutely LOVE sugar. I have a sweet tooth and will always find a way to eat something sweet, whenever possible. This week is more of a test run and a detoxing stage for me and starting next week, I will monitor what I eat at all times. I also have to make sure I do some kind of a physical activity for 30 mins. EVERYDAY! I know I can do it, but I do also know that I will easily get lazy and discouraged. Hopefully with some self-determination, self-motivation, and some push from loved ones I can complete this challenge and actually succeed. Wish me luck!

Hello Again

We've been together for 11 months, but that felt like it flew by for us being an official couple. Despite all the crazies I throw at him too, I am growing more in love with him each and every day.

Running because I CAN!

I made my first official jog outdoors tonight. What was so surprising about it was that I enjoyed it. However, initially it was still painful just because my lungs and my entire body was not used to running for that long. But it definitely felt exhilarating running around the track and just jog off my troubles for that hour. It also helped to have a good company too though. :)

I'm hoping I can do this jogging outdoors once a week. I'll have to make sure I bring my iPod if I go alone. Running around the track without music would be a little challenging without music.

I'm going to attempt this jogging challenge. My goal in the future is to do a marathon. I hope I can do that. :D

Hello there...it's been a while!

I know I know...I've been neglecting you my good ol' blog lately. I guess I just haven't been wanting to write any words down. There have been lots of things that has happened in the past few months though. Mostly it's good things and I couldn't be more happy about it.

I'm just going to say it without being too vague or short about it.
I'm in love with my best friend! <3
I couldn't be more happy with someone that I truly care about. We have known each other for almost 9 years now. I met him when I was 17 (he was 18) and my first impression of him wouldn't make me think he would become the love of my life. I guess it took me longer to let that sink in too. I'm just happy it finally came true. :)

I'm also in the right course with my career. And I hope this will only open up to more possibilities for me in the near future.

I'm just loving life right now. :D

My Choice

I don't like starting the day feeling bothered about something. I still have a choice to get over things that bother me, but it still bothers me that the issue bothers me. Say that five times fast? lol

But again, I have control over my feelings. I get annoyed easily but I can also easily get over it with some rationalizing and maybe discussing the issue with the person to clear the air.

I'll get over it.

Reflection On A Trip To Cuba

I just came back from a wonderful trip in Cuba. Lots of experiences, laughter and pictures to look back on. It's a beautiful country to visit and experience even just once.

What I brought back from the trip (aside for the souvenirs) is the realization how damned lucky my friends and I are to live in a country that gives us the freedom to be happy citizens. We have the rights and freedom of speech and we are taken cared of by the government in many ways.

We deserve it and I wish everyone else in the world can have that luxury too...

The Time Traveler's Wife

I saw the trailer for the movie based on American author, Audrey Niffenegger's novel The Time Traveler's Wife. It looked really good. Aside for having Eric Bana (The Hulk) and Rachel McAdams (The Notebook) starring in the movie, the theme song playing in the background captured my interest. The song is called Broken by Lifehouse. The song seems to beautifully capture the essence of the book. I look forward to reading it before the movie comes out in August. :)

Purse Holder

I'm sure almost every woman owns a purse, either it being small or large. But do you struggle with where to put your purse in the car? The Rolls-Royce 200EX has the solution of where to place your purse without it getting in the way of anyone or dirtying it up from sitting on the floor of the car.
